GUIDE TO LONDON
When people ask us about Toronto, we say it’s full of culture, diverse people, and a food mecca with ethnic foods in every neighborhood. Growing up in the Bloor West Village, known for the Polish and Ukrainian delights and shops, the flavors are memorable from childhood. But, like Chinatown, Greektown, Koreatown, and the West Indie neighborhood, you would discover a whole new cuisine, people, and the richness of their own culture by just hopping on and off the public subway system, TTC. Heading Downton, we especially love St.Lawrence Market, the year-round indoor farmers market where you can find over 120 vendors known for their specialty foods and products. Some vendors include the best meats, Montreal bagels, sauces, smoked salmon, handmade pasta, fruits, vegetables, Canadian products to European bread, and pastries.
Finally, the Distillery is our winter destination where the cobblestone streets light up with holiday decorations, and restaurants serve up cold stews, hot chocolate, and a hot toddy. Just the streetcar ride over is exciting to see the melting pot of the city around you.
So, Toronto is the perfect weekend destination, year-round, for food, fun, or just some Canadian air.
