Wave department store was a modern, lifestyle department store in Bangkok featuring one-stop shopping for bridge-line fashion and multilevel food & beverage outlets. Designed by French interior designer Christian Liaigre, the Thai retail giant Central Group hired JH to develop a detailed food & beverage program inclusive of a Thai restaurant, sushi bar, American diner, cigar lounge and espresso bar. 

“To be able to build something from the ground up in a foreign country and work with the great designer Christian Liaigre was a dream come true,” she says. “To find the right chefs of the region and create a Western, retail food & beverage experience for the Thai people was one of the best projects of my career.” – Jennie Yip

Due to the economic collapse in Asia in 1997, the project was not completed. Today, the building is occupied by Home Pro, Thailand’s top home improvement store.
