KNICKERBOCKER HOTEL

Built-in 1902, the historic Beaux-Arts building on 42nd St. & Broadway is the home of the legendary Knickerbocker Hotel. Set in Times Square, its owners and managing partner Highgate approached Jenjuice Hospitality to update its F&B program and bring a fresh generation of customers into Charlie Palmer at The Knick, St. Cloud Rooftop bar, the upper lounge, and sidewalk coffee shop.

With updated interiors by Gabellini Sheppard and Chef Palmer’s stellar cuisine, their vision was inspired by the Theater District’s heyday when Enrico Caruso, George M.Cohan, and Maxfield Parrish stayed at the hotel. Back then the joint was always jumping at Jake’s Bar (named after founder John Jacob Astor’s son). Some say the Original Martini was invented here.
