HOTEL CONDESA DF

Grupo Habita entrepreneurs Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha have led Mexico’s art and hotel scene for the last two decades. They approached JH and hotelier Jonathan Morr to partner/develop a 1928 bus terminal into a 40-suite hotel in the Art Deco area of Condesa-Roma, Mexico City.

They called it Hotel Condesa DF. Interior designer India Mahdavi renovated the rooms, rooftop lounge, restaurant, lobby bar, gift shop and spa. Enamored of the site’s historic charm, she connected the indoor and outdoor space of the courtyard inside the triangular building. It soon became the architectural icon that spurred the regentrification of the Condesa-Roma arts district. Still one of Mexico City’s most stylish boutique hotels to date, Hotel Condesa DF remains a popular food & beverage destination for fashionable folk — local and international.

“It’s all about the details at this still-hip hotel, one of the city’s first boutique hotels.” –            Fodor’s Travel
