French interior designer Christian Liaigre introduced Jenjuice Hospitality to New York entrepreneur Andre Balazs to develop the food & beverage program at his first hotel, The Mercer. JH worked with Chef Jean–Georges Vongerichten to create — Mercer Kitchen, a 145-seat restaurant serving Provencal cuisine; the lobby café; and 24-hour room service.
Decades later, The Mercer remains SoHo’s home away from home for the arty jet set. Mercer Kitchen is still the sweetest destination for the Euro crowd.
“The phenomenal pre-opening success of The Mercer is proof of two things: News travels fast among the hip and the cool and the fabulous; and there’s nothing like a good buzz to get something off the ground.”
