CONDESSA DF HOTEL

The Mexican Hotelier entrepreneurs Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha of Groupo Habita have been leading the art and hotel scene for the past 25 years in Mexico and continue to grow their hotel portfolio, Grupo Habita with Condessa DF Hotel. The group approached JH and restaurateur Jonathan Morr to partner and developed the landmark bus terminal dating back to 1928 into a 42-room hotel in a trendy historic neighborhood of Mexico City.

HOTEL

Housed in a 1928 building, French designer India Mahdavi re-imaged the space and designed the stylish interiors from rooms, gift shop, spa to stone tiles with her signature color palette. The inspiration of the 40 rooms and suites derived from the tranquility of the interior courtyard space’s natural charm that connects the outdoor space within the triangular historic building. The floral theme, signature to Mahdavi, can be seen throughout the hotel to bring a tropical vibe to the big city noise. Condessa DF Hotel ultimately re-gentrified the Condessa/Roma neighborhood and became an instant F&B destination for locals, business meetings, and international travelers.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

The four outlets serve as the anchors of the building, the lobby bar, restaurant and rooftop lounge, and room service. El Patio serves as a cosmopolitan destination for locals and travelers, serving a fusion of Mexican and French cuisine. With Parque Espana and chapultepec Castle views, La Terraza serves as the famous rooftop bar serving sushi and cocktails daily.

Twenty-one years later, the hotel remains one of Mexico City’s most stylish boutique hotels.
